CONDITIONAL SENTENCE TYPE 3

A. Pengertian Conditional Type 3

Conditional sentence adalah complex sentence atau kalimat majemuk yang berisikan dua kalimat if clause dan main clause. Conditional sentence mempunyai type-type yang ditentukan berdasarkan tingkat kemungkinan. Conditional type 3 adalah peluang terjadinya sangat tidak mungkin terpenuhi karena kejadiannya sudah terjadi pada masa lampau.

B. Rumus Conditional Type 3

Kalimat Syarat	Hasilnya
If + Past Perfect Tense	Past Future Perfect Tense
If + S + had + Verb 3	S + would + have + Verb 3

OR :

Hasilnya	Kalimat Syarat
Past Future Perfect Tense	If + Past Perfect Tense
S + would + have + Verb 3	If + S + had + Verb 3

C. Contoh Kalimat Conditional Type 3

1.      I would not have bought a new handphone if I had known that the old one was still ok.

2.      If Rizky had driven his car carefully, we would not have got an accident.

3.      Suzy would not have arrived at home, if the my father had not picked her up.
